LayerX, an Israeli startup and the leading provider of Secure Enterprise Browser Extension solutions, today announced it has raised an additional $11 million in an extension of its Series A funding round. This brings the company’s total funding to $45 million. The extension round was led by Jump Capital, with continued support from existing investors Glilot Capital Partners and Dell Technologies Capital.
LayerX’s browser security platform is designed to give enterprises real-time visibility and control over workforce web activity, helping to prevent data leaks, malicious access, and browser-based attacks. As demand for secure, user-centric web browsing solutions continues to rise in hybrid work environments, LayerX is poised to expand its customer base and enhance its platform capabilities with this new funding.
The additional capital will be used to accelerate global go-to-market initiatives, expand R&D efforts, and strengthen LayerX’s position as a cybersecurity leader in the enterprise browser space.

Founded in 2021, LayerX says that the company is designed to help monitor, control, and prevent the expanding range of web-based threats and browsing risks. Led by veterans of IDF cyber units and cybersecurity industry, LayerX’s browser security platform transforms existing web browsers into protected and manageable workspaces without negatively impacting the user experience.
Browser security, explains LayerX, has become a focal point for CISOs and security teams since the move to the cloud has resulted in the majority of enterprise work being carried out in browsers. Majority of attacks are being delivered via the browser, most of human interaction is carried over the browser and data loss incidents from the browser are constantly on the rise. Users are easily tricked by hackers to download malware and give away classified information and passwords; while data flows in and out of the organization without restrictions, thus exposing enterprises to compliance violations.
“Enterprises today face a stark choice to solve modern GenAI, SaaS, Web and Identity risks: they can pay an ‘SSE tax’ of added complexity, latency and lost billable hours, or they can incur user wrath by forcing them to rip-and-replace their existing browser for a ‘work browser’ like Island that breaks their existing habits and workflows,” says Or Eshed, CEO and co-founder of LayerX. “In practice, neither approach is tenable in modern organizations. LayerX solves this challenge by providing last-mile user guardrails against the latest risks, without the complexity of SSE or the user experience disruption of Enterprise Browsers.”
