Tamnoon is an Israeli startup that offers a managed cloud security remediation platform. The company raised $12 million in a Series A round of funding led by cybersecurity investment firm Bright Pixel Capital (formerly Sonae IM). Tamnoon is the first and only hybrid human-AI managed service developed from the ground up specifically for cloud security remediation.

As organizations increasingly adopt cloud-based solutions and invest in visibility and risk detection tools like CNAPP and CSPM, they require a scalable approach to addressing security vulnerabilities. The current remediation process is often slow and inefficient, with an average resolution time of 145 hours for cloud security alerts. Additionally, many organizations struggle with a high volume of misconfigurations and a shortage of qualified security personnel.

To effectively manage the growing number of vulnerability, configuration, and threat alerts, it is imperative to implement a controlled and efficient remediation process. While fully automated remediation might seem attractive, poorly executed automation can lead to more problems than it solves. Modifying production infrastructure without adequate testing and oversight can disrupt business operations and cause outages due to the complexity of cloud environments. Consequently, studies indicate that only a small percentage of cloud misconfigurations are currently addressed in real-time using automation.

Founded in 2022 by CEO Marina Sega’, Idan Perez and Zohar Alon, Tamnoon boasts that its blend of purpose-built technology, AI, and cloud expertise helps security and dev teams streamline cloud security from prioritization through remediation and prevention. Companies rely on Tamnoon to reduce critical and high alerts, accelerate MTTR, and get the full value of their cloud security stack.

Tamnoon has seen significant customer adoption since exiting stealth mode. The company’s customer base has grown 326% since Q1 2023, as it scales the introduction of its solution to enterprises across North America. Tamnoon says it serves customers across various industries, including insurance, entertainment, healthcare, retail, and professional services.

Tamnoon’s Assisted Cloud Remediation Service is a cloud-based solution that combines human expertise with machine learning to help organizations quickly and safely remediate cloud risks. The service is designed to be easy to use and scalable, making it a valuable tool for organizations of all sizes.

“Neither fully automated nor human-driven cloud remediation approaches alone can address the complexity of cloud security posture management programs. The idea of relying entirely on automation in remediation is not feasible. It is too risky to apply in critical production environments without human oversight,” said Marina Segal, CEO and Co-founder of Tamnoon. “Tamnoon combines our powerful, purpose-built AI technology for cloud remediation, guided by cloud security experts, to safely reduce critical threat exposures to near zero in just months after deployment. We are grateful to our investors, partners, and customers for supporting us in this mission.”
