This comes as little surprise to an Israeli. Tel Aviv is known for being expensive, with really high rents for apartments. And the price of buying a home there – for what you get in space and other factors – is the highest in the country, other than in exclusive towns that cater to the wealthy elite.
Interestingly, Tel Aviv was not on the list of most expensive cities in Asia for business travel. So, the publishers must place it in Europe for cultural reasons.
Four U.S. cities including Los Angeles – $498 per person per day – San Francisco – $519 per person per day and Washington D.C. – $561 per person per day – made the list along with London and Paris.
Out of the top ten most expensive cities Tel Aviv ranks fifth in the average cost of a hotel room.
