Singer Pink is celebrating a new album. But she is doing so while seeing an old feud with Christina Aguilera over their one collaboration back in the news. Pink recorded a cover of the song “Lady Marmalade” for the 2002 movie Moulin Rouge with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Mya.
Born Alecia Beth Moore Hart, Pink’s mother is a Jewish nurse, born Judy Kugel. She self-describes as an “Irish-German-Lithuanian-Jew” but does identify as Jewish. She is 43 years old.
The renewed controversy over “Lady Marmalade” came after Pink revised her dislike for the making of the song in an interview with BuzzFeed.

“Music videos are important to artists like me, number one because they’re fun. I also use them as an excuse to learn something scary, and I get to edit them so that I feel better about myself!” Pink told BuzzFeed.
“On the other hand,” added Pink, “I actually think videos are not great for songs because I’m putting a visual to a song and changing your experience of it. I prefer people to hear a song on their own and have their own visual. It’s the same reason why I don’t like movies made from books, because I want to see it the way the book made me see it.”
So, Pink listed the “Lady Marmalade” video at the very bottom of all of her music videos.
“It wasn’t very fun to make,” she said. “I’m all about fun, and it was a lot of fuss. There were some ~personalities~… Kim and Maya were nice. I guess it is iconic, but I remember I kept crying because my skin didn’t like the makeup. It was just… There was some annoying things happening that day.”
This was not the first time that Pink has criticized the recording of the song and the video over the years. This led to a sort of feud with Christina Aguilera and Pink’s latest comments caused many to lash out against her, leading the singer to slam those people in a number of Tweets.
Also- I kissed xtinas mouth. I don’t need to kiss her ass.
“Y’all are nuts,” wrote Pink. “Xtina (Christina Aguilera) had shit to do with who was on that song. If you don’t know by now- I’m not “shading” someone by telling it over and over and over what actually happened. I’m zero percent interested in your fucking drama. If you haven’t noticed- I’m a little busy selling.”
Meanwhile, Pink just released a new album called “Trustfall.” At its launch party the mother of two said, “In order to be a human being in this world today, it requires a lot of trust, like just to drop your kids off at school and participate in elections and have an opinion.”
