Hello Heart, an Israeli medtech startup offering a digital program that helps users to understand and improve their heart health, has raised $70 million in Series D financing. The news comes one year after Hello Heart raised $45 million in a Series C round of funding led by IVP. The company has now raised $138 million to date.
Israeli firms are at the forefront of new medical technologies and Israeli researchers seem to come up with new medical treatments on almost a daily basis. So Hello Heart is not alone and if Israel’s track record in the field continues it should do quite well. For example, just last month Viz.ai, an Israeli medtech startup that offers AI-powered disease detection and care coordination platform, hit the coveted unicorn status with a $1.2 billion valuation when the company raised $100 million in a Series D funding round.
Founded in 2013, Hello Heart boasts that it is the only digital therapeutics company to focus exclusively on heart disease, which is the number one cause of death for men and women in the US. Through a connected mobile app that uses AI, behavioral science, and personalized digital coaching to drive lifestyle changes, Hello Heart helps people to embrace healthier behavior, which can reduce the risks of high blood pressure and heart disease. It also helps users catch readings that are extremely high, encourage them to talk to their doctor and catch potential risk in time.
