Jameson released a video on Instagram in which she explained, “I’m in the hospital still. And we’ve gotten some answers. I’m dealing with a little syndrome called Guillain-Barré Syndrome, so I’m working through that. And I just wanted to let you know that I see all your DM’s and I appreciate it so much.”

The Mayo Clinic explains that Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome is a rare disorder in which your body’s immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms. In its most severe form Guillain-Barre syndrome is a medical emergency. Most people with the condition must be hospitalized to receive treatment.
The exact cause of Guillain-Barre syndrome is unknown. But two-thirds of patients report symptoms of an infection in the six weeks preceding. These include respiratory or a gastrointestinal infection or Zika virus.
There is no known cure.
Lior Bitton released a live video explaining what happened to Jenna Jameson. He said that she was in the hospital undergoing testing after “not feeling so good.” But after a CT scan showed nothing wrong, doctors released her and she returned home.
“Then she came back home and she couldn’t carry herself,” Bitton said in the video. “Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn’t able to walk to the bathroom. She was falling on the way back or to the bathroom, I would have to pick her up and carry her to bed. And then within two days, it got really not so good, her legs started to not hold her, she wasn’t able to walk.”
Biton later updated followers on Instagram saying, “She’s going to start the treatment for that. It’s in [the] hospital, she’s doing physical therapy to try and stand on her legs, but at the moment she cannot stand on her legs. They’re starting the treatment so they’ll see how it goes. So keep praying.”
