Samsung 2022 TVs Will Blow Your Mind

Samsung

The New Year will see more new high tech innovations that will make what they have on Star Trek seem outdated. Samsung seems to be leading the way in this when it comes to televisions. One new feature is a way to use your television for your NFTs.

So what is NFT and why should anyone buy one anyway?

Well here’s the deal. A Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is a kind of cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. Only in this case, it is a specific digital file whose unique identity and ownership are verified on a blockchain. NFTs can be bought with cryptocurrency and resold. NFTs have different values and so they are not interchangeable.

So now Samsung can let you display your NFTs in your living room on your TV.

“With demand for NFTs on the rise, the need for a solution to today’s fragmented viewing and purchasing landscape has never been greater,” the company said in a press release. “In 2022, Samsung is introducing the world’s first TV screen-based NFT explorer and marketplace aggregator, a groundbreaking platform that lets you browse, purchase, and display your favorite art — all in one place.”

Another new feature is a matte screen effect that will let you display images that will look like real paintings. The new screens, says Samsung, offer an anti-reflective display with a lifelike texture that feels like canvas or paper to the touch.

The Verge said, “Samsung has managed to single-handedly define the category of ‘lifestyle TVs’ — high-design TV sets that blend into the home more seamlessly than traditional TVs — with The Frame.”

“By introducing a new anti-reflective film and other anti-glare measures, Samsung hopes that oil paintings and other art will pop off the screen to a more impressive extent than before. Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to see the new anti-reflective displays in person just yet to see how convincing the end result is — or whether there’s any negative effect on the picture when watching regular content.”

Samsung also has a new solar charging remote. The company says that its new Eco Remote can convert a router’s radio waves into energy to stay fully charged. Now think about that for a minute. What a novel way to conserve energy: reuse the signals already in the air that come from sources like Wi-Fi and turn that back into electricity for your wireless devices. What will they think of next?
