According to media sources, an explosion occurred at an Iranian oil pipeline in the country’s south.
The explosion occurred because the equipment in place is old and out of date, according to Reuters, citing the semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
The explosion, according to Tasnim, “caused mild tremors” that could be felt in the nearby communities.

A large fire broke out at an oil refinery servicing Iran’s capital in June, billowing heavy clouds of black smoke above the city. A series of strange booms and explosions were recorded at Iranian oil pipelines last year.
Several of the explosions targeted critical Iranian sites, raising the possibility that they were part of a sabotage effort orchestrated by Israel or another Tehran adversary.
While Iran has often accused Israel of attacks and cyberattacks on its infrastructure, Tehran has also covered up such occurrences in the past and claimed that they were the result of other forces.
Last month, Iranian gas stations experienced widespread disruptions as a result of a cyberattack that rendered the government-issued smart cards that many Iranians use to purchase discounted fuel at the pump unusable.
Iran’s civil defense chief eventually blamed the cyberattack on Israel and the United States. “We are still unable to say forensically, but analytically, I believe it was carried out by the Zionist regime, the Americans, and their agents,” Gholamreza Jalali said in an interview with state television, according to Reuters.
According to Syrian state media source SANA, Israeli forces in the Golan Heights fired two surface-to-surface missiles into an empty warehouse south of the city at around 12:45 a.m.
According to the report, there were no deaths and that Syrian defenses shot down one of the Israeli missiles. The IDF made no comment, in keeping with its policy of ambiguity regarding its precise activity in Syria.
