Scarlett Johansson is not only finally getting to see the long anticipated, and long delayed, release of her very own Marvel super hero movie, “Black Widow,” but the recent double Oscar nominee is also starting her own beauty line. Johansson will make her first venture into entrepreneurship with a skincare brand expected to come to market in early 2022. The new brand was developed together with co-founder, entrepreneur and beauty/fashion executive, Kate Foster, and was funded by The Najafi Companies.
Johansson serves as the Founder and Chairman of the new company and Foster is the Co-Founder and CEO.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood star, whose mother is Jewish and who once was the face of Israel’s Soda Stream, may have let slip a major spoiler about “Black Widow” as she has been speaking about her feelings on seeing her solo super hero movie finally get released after a year delay caused by the Covid pandemic.
The Black Widow star says that she first started on the road to becoming a beauty industry entrepreneur several years ago, educating herself on the market, formulations, and brand identity. She joins a long list of women celebrities who have either been the spokespeople – or face of – top cosmetics and fashion brands, or who have established their own companies in their own names. Think of Jaclyn Smith, Halle Berry, Kylie Jenner and many more.
The 36 year old Scarlett Johansson explained how she has been captivated by the world of fashion since she was just a child. “I’ve been fascinated by the transformative power of beauty since I was a child. My mother instilled in me a passion for self-care from my early teenage years,” said ScarJo in a statement. “Several years ago, I took a step back from my beauty deals with the goal of creating something true to me. The result is a clean, accessible approach to beauty,” added Scarlett Johansson.
“We are proud to have built a brand that fills a void in the market and addresses a true consumer need. Our brand platform is differentiated and has a great deal of runway for growth and expansion. This is truly just the beginning,” added partner Kate Foster in a statement.
The Najafi Companies is an entrepreneurially driven private investment firm which has backed brands including Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty, Beach House Group, Moon Oral Care, and more.

As for “Black Widow,” ScarJo opened up about her feelings on the character in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” On this being her final appearance as the marvel superheroine, Scarlett Johansson said “I think it’s bittersweet.”
“I’ve had an incredible decade working with my Marvel family. I’m going to miss not seeing them every 18 months or two years, like those kind of milestones I always really look forward to,” Johansson added. But she did not say whether or not the movie will mark the end of the Black Widow story line or if she was just talking about her own exit from the franchise.
