Israeli aerospace company, Urban Aeronautics, today announced it will provide four CityHawk VTOL aircraft to Hatzolah Air for emergency medical service (EMS) applications.
CityHawk is a lightweight twin-engine vertical take-off and landing aircraft (VTOL), that utilize jet propulsion, with no wings or rotors. Its cabins are 20 to 30 percent larger and much quieter than comparable helicopters. The aircraft development will take 3-5 years.
Hatzolah Air is a Charitable Organization that provides emergent, rescue flights for patients and those in need. The organization currently operates fixed-wing aircraft for Hatzolah’s urgent missions. It will use VTOL alternative to ground-based ambulances in populated urban settings.

Urban Aeronautics’ engineers to tailor the CityHawk flying ambulance to Hatzolah operational requirements. It will accommodate a pilot, a patient plus companion, two EMS personnel, and a complete suite of onboard life support equipment.
The companies also signed in August 2020 an MOU to develop, produce, and market the CityHawk aircraft for EMS applications. Hatzolah Air will become the official sales representative and distribution channel to other rescue organizations worldwide.
