Enemy of Jewish state BDS Founder: Anti-Israel Boycotts Don’t Apply to COVID-19 Vaccine

Omar Barghouti: ‘If Israel finds a cancer cure, for example, or any other disease, then there is no problem cooperating’

Omar Barghouti, the co-founder of the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, said that if Israel develops a vaccine for the new coronavirus, all supporters are free to take it.

Barghouti made the statement during a live video on the BDS Arabic Facebook page. The webinar titled “Boycott and Resistance to Normalization: The most important strategies to address the deal of the century even in the time of coronavirus.”

 BDS movement protesters calling for a boycott of Israeli companies, boycott  Israel in international forums, and academic boycott in the universities. BDS “announced normalization criteria long ago,” said Barghouti. “If Israel discovers a cure for cancer, for example, or any other disease, then there is no problem in cooperating with Israel to save lives,” he added, according to the Jerusalem Post.
