In addition, the company announced that on May 13, 2019, it would operate three weekly flights to Silicon Valley. This route will compete with the daily flight of United Airlines, which has been operating in this line since 2016. The flights will be operated by Dreamliner aircraft in Economy, Premium and Business Classes.

El Al will operate direct flights to seven destinations in North America: New York (JFK and EWR), Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Toronto.

El Al’s route to San Francisco was originally due to begin six months, but the ticket sale was abruptly halted. According to the company, the delay stemmed from the acceleration of the process of removing them from the service of old planes, including the 767 aircraft that was hit on the ground at Ben Gurion Airport at the beginning of the year.

Las Vegas: Departure from Ben Gurion airport on Fridays at 7:00 am, landing in Las Vegas 14.25 hours later, at 11:15 pm (local time), from Las Vegas on Saturday night at 22:45 , Landing at Ben Gurion Airport 13.5 hours later, on Sunday at 22:15.

Flights to San Francisco: Departure from San Francisco on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1:05, landing in San Francisco about 15 hours later, at 6:00 (local time), San Francisco on Mondays and Wednesdays at 20:00 And on Saturday night at 22:45 (local time), landing at Ben-Gurion International Airport 13.45 hours later on Tuesday and Thursday at 19:40 and Sunday at 22:25.

El Al CEO Gonen Ussishkin said: “The renewal of the Dreamliner allows EL AL to renew itself on the long-range network. Last year we opened a direct flight to Miami, and we are looking forward to the opening of direct flights to San Francisco this May. We are pleased to announce the opening of another destination – Las Vegas. We expect tens of thousands of Israelis and tourists to come to Israel on our new routes and will continue to expand the company’s network of goals. ”

Tourism Minister Yariv Levin said: “With the breaking of the record high in the number of tourists arriving in Israel and with close to a million tourists coming here from the US last year, opening the direct line from Las Vegas is another step in the trend of opening the new routes from North America. The line will contribute to incoming tourism from surrounding areas such as Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Oregon. The opening of the new line is a welcome continuation of the cooperation between the Tourism Ministry and El Al, after the opening of the Miami line. We see great importance in the steps he has taken to increase the market, and to activate new lines that contribute to incoming tourism to Israel. “
