The Israeli Wi-Charge introduced at the CES 2018 exhibition in Las Vegas, a new wireless remote charging product integrated into a lamp that can charge the batteries of mobile devices in a room, all at once.
Using infrared technology, the lamp charges the devices from a distance without having to place them on a charging surface or plug into a charging cable. The devices are loaded on their own, while they are simply on the table or held by someone in their hands.

The lamp can be installed on the ceiling or on the wall of a cafe shops, restaurants, hotels, offices and more.
However, for the technology to work, the mobile devices should be connected to the dongles or special covers that can absorb the infrared waves; And there must be no obstacles between them and the transmitter in the lamp.
Visitors at the CES could see their own smartphone recharged.
In another demonstration, Wi-Charge will show how the technology enables the charging of two electric trains in traffic.
Wi-Charge technology has been under development for several years, and this is the first time it has demonstrated its commercial product to a wide audience.
“The technology is ripe for launch,” Wi-Charge founder and CEO Victor Weisslev told Israeli Ynet, adding: “For the first time, the remote charging of telephones, what we call ‘autonomous charging’, is being publicly displayed. There will be phones in our booth that will live only from a wireless charge from the beginning of the exhibition to the end. And for the first time, a number of consumers will be charged from a single wireless charger. ”
The company promises the product is safe for humans and animals, and its product has recently been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The launch date of the new system has yet to be revealed, but it is expected to operate in several cafes in the coming year.
