A US fighter jet shot down an Iranian drone in Syria, on Monday, the same type that was shot down earlier this month after it dropped munition near a patrol being carried out by local and coalition forces.
This is the third downing of a pro-regime aircraft this month and the second Iranian drone in less than a month.

The armed drone Shaheed-129 was downed by US F-15E Strike Eagle about 12:30 a.m. after it displayed hostile intent in firing range of US troops.
The drone was shot down near At Tanf, where the coalition forces are training, according to media reports.
The coalition has made it clear that demonstrating hostile intent and actions of pro-regime forces toward Coalition and partner forces in Syria conducting legitimate counter-ISIS operations will not be tolerated.
