Microsoft Corp. has acquired Israeli cyber security startup Hexadite for $100 million. Although the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, Israeli media reported that Microsoft pays about $100 million.
“Our vision is to deliver a new generation of security capabilities that helps our customers protect, detect and respond to the constantly evolving and ever-changing cyberthreat landscape,” said Terry Myerson, executive vice president, Windows and Devices Group, Microsoft. “Hexadite’s technology and talent will augment our existing capabilities and enable our ability to add new tools and services to Microsoft’s robust enterprise security offerings.”

Founded in 2014 by CEO Eran Barak, CTO Idan Levin, and CPO Barak Klinghoffer. The company has raised $10.5 million to date. In 2016 Hexadite raised $8 million in a Series A funding round from Ten Eleven Ventures, Hewlett Packard Ventures, and YL Ventures. The company’s headquarters in Boston, and R&D office in Tel Aviv.
