The Israel Air Force reportedly attacked a fuel tank and an Iranian arms depot near the Damascus International Airport early Thursday morning, according to the Hezbollah-affiliate, al-Manar TV Lebanon.
According to media reports at least five massive explosions at fuel tanks and warehouses near the airport rocked eastern Damascus at around 3.20 am.

Al-Manar added that the powerful blast caused only material damage, adding that initial information indicates there were no casualties.
Israeli channel 10 said the Israeli army refuses to comments on reports coming in from Syria.
Israeli military commentator Ron Ben-Yishai says it is likely the attack targeted a shipment from Iran of “game changing weapons” sent to Hezbollah, and other pro-Iranian militias fighting in Syria.

Reuters cited a regional intelligence source as saying that regular supplies of weapons from Tehran, a major regional ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, are sent by cargo planes, both through the arms supply hub, which is operated by Hezbollah.
The depot handles a significant amount of weapons that Tehran sends regularly by air, the source told Reuters, without giving further details.
Officials on both sides of the Syrian conflict—among opposition forces and among forces fighting alongside President Bashar Assad—attributed the attack to Israel. Russian news site Sputnik also reported that Israel was behind the attack of five targets.
