The Greenlight Capital founder, David Einhorn is separating from his wife Cheryl Strauss Einhorn, after 24 years of marriage. The well-known couple in New York is heading for a divorce, the New York Post reports, citing sources close to the matter.

Billionaire David Einhorn which fortune estimated at $1.55 billion, married Cheryl, both were 24, in 1993, three years before he founded his hedge fund. Cheryl is a media consultant, an award-winning financial reporter and who has also was a long-time a professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and Columbia Business School.
In 2002, the couple, parents for three children, established the Einhorn Family Charitable Trust, “with the vision of building a more peaceful and harmonious society,” according to its Web site, which features numerous photos of Cheryl and David.
David is the author of “Fooling Some of the People All of the Time: A Long Short Story” (2008), and is a member of the Cornell University Board of Trustees. He also serves on the boards of City Year, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, and as Chair of the Robin Hood Foundation Board of Directors.
