Instagram Stories will now come with advertising. The social media service which is owned by Facebook is doing so because of the ever increasing need to monetize its product.
Whether you prefer Twitter or Instagram, these services have had trouble finding ways to make money. And Instagram has to compete with its sister companies Facebook and WhatsApp for the same market. Facebook has already integrated WhatsApp and Instagram tech into its own Messenger App and at some point in the near future the world will like find that it does not need all three apps.

Just a month after hitting the 600 million user mark, Instagram announced that users will now see ads of about 15 seconds in length. They can be either a series of photos or video clips and will be labeled “sponsored.”
James Quarles, Instagram’s VP of business, was quoted in Forbes as saying, “What’s really unmatched here is our ability to combine this immersive format with one of the most sophisticated mobile ads businesses from a measurement and targeting perspective.”
