The NEA, which has an annual budget of more than $150 million, has long been targeted by Republicans as a waste of taxpayers’ money. And the 70 year old Oscar winner has said that he would rather take a position in the Trump Administration helping America’s military veterans.

“I believe I could be more effective by bringing national attention to returning military personnel in an effort to find gainful employment, suitable housing and financial assistance these heroes respectfully deserve, ” Sylvester Stallone’s statement said.
