What role will Ivanka Trump have in daddy Donald’s White House. Many have been wondering if the soon to be first daughter of the United States will fill the role of First Lady after she and her husband Jared Kushner had such prominent roles in the Trump Presidential campaign.
Donald Trump is said to trust Jared Kushner implicitly and rely on his advice and negotiating skills. Perhaps Kushner will end up being Donald Trump’s Karl Rove. Rove was the mastermind behind George W. Bush’s presidential victories, his senior advisor as President and was known as “Bush’s Brain.” Could Jared Kushner become “Trump’s brain.”

Reports surfaced last week that the power couple was making plans to move to Washington, further adding to the speculation as to what roles the two will have in the Trump White House.
Well now Donald Trump has made it clear that he wants Ivanka, who converted to Judaism when she married real estate mogul Jared Kushner, with him in Washington along with her husband. He made the comments Sunday morning while talking with Chris Wallace on his Fox News Sunday program. And Donald Trump also said that Melania will eventually live with him in the White House; although she and his youngest son are remaining in New York for now.

“We’re working that out right now. They’re both very talented people. I would love to be able to have them involved, ” Donald Trump told Chris Wallace of Jared and Ivanka coming to work for him as President. “If you look at Ivanka, she’s so strongly, as you know, into the women’s issues and childcare. Nobody could do better than her.”
On his son in law Jared Kushner President Elect Trump said, “He’s very talented, he’s a very talented guy.”
But there are anti-nepotism laws in place which would prevent Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump from having any official positions in the American government. But many point out that these laws do not apply to White House staffers who do not require Congressional approval.

In any event, should either Mr. Kushner or Ms. Trump take on an official role under President Trump they would need to distance themselves from their business interests in order to avoid any conflicts of interest. This is easier said than done. Jared Kushner’s business ventures would surely suffer from his absence. And Ivanka Trump has her own fashion brand which bares her name. It needs her to continue to promote it.
And Ivanka Trump has already come under fire for promoting her fashion brand by wearing her items during a “60 Minutes” appearance just after her father won the election. And she continues to promote herself and Trump brands on social media as evidenced in the following tweets.

Donald Trump has not shown much concern for conflicts of interest between his business ventures and his new political career. He has said that his children, including Ivanka, will run his real estate empire for him while he is in office. Critics say that this is not enough and fails to meet the precedent of putting all financial interests into a blind trust as upheld by previous Presidents. However, no law requires this.
It is now seeming a certainty that both Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner will have prominent roles in the Donald Trump White House. The only question left is whether or not they will give up their business interests when they do.
