Amy Schumer is up to her old tricks, being provocative and not caring too much that she is also being offensive at the same time. Schumer has been attacked for her parody of Beyonce’s “Formation” video which she released over the weekend.
The comic made the video with Goldie Hawn, who is currently filming a new movie with Amy. The Schumer video also stars Joan Cusack and Wanda Sykes. It was released on Tidal.

Tidal tweeted the following behind the scenes clip showing Amy Schumer as she directs the action:

So what was the problem? Many Black women are going on social media to say that what Schumer and her friends do in the video is somehow racist. Watch the video and judge for yourself.
So are the critics right? Of course not! Lighten up folks. And Schumer is of course right for not apologizing and especially for not going on a pilgrimage to meet with the likes of Al Sharpton to do a public mea culpa.
Not only that, but Amy Schumer is also taking pride in the commotion that she caused. Schumer posted the following pic on Instagram with the caption, “You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation. Thanks for the exclusive release Tidal! We had so much fun making this tribute. All love and women inspiring each other. #strongertogether” That hashtag is for a group supporting Hillary Clinton for President.
And here is the original Beyonce video for comparison:

Goldie Hawn is also not making any apologies as she just tweeted another link to the Amy Schumer video.

Amy Schumer is currently filming a new movie with Goldie Hawn. Described as an action comedy, the film is tentatively called “Untitled Mother-Daughter/Action Comedy Project, ” or maybe that is the title as the producers are keeping mum as to its plot for now.
