James Franco is being sued for assault. The Oscar nominee stands accused of head butting a photographer.
David Tonnessen filed the suit in a Los Angeles court on Monday. He claims that James Franco assaulted him at a Lana Del Rey concert back in 2014.

These charges are really hard to believe. James Franco a violent person? He seems like such a sweet boychick with a punim every bubbe would love. The fact that it took two years for the alleged victim to file the suit also looks bad. And people tend to sympathize with celebrities when it comes to the paparazzi violating their personal space so Franco will have a lot of moral support on his side.
According to a report in TMZ, Tonnessen alleges that Franco was “smiling, rather demonically” when the actor charged the photographer and head butted him in the stomach.
The suit further alleges that, “following the assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, defendant Franco ran laughing into the crowd, leaving Plaintiff wounded and in pain on the ground.”
While no criminal charges were ever filed against James Franco, the suit claims that Tonnessen was hospitalized and suffered, “severe and permanent physical and psychological injuries.”
