According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be based on a famous article from Wired “The Rise and Fall of The Silk Road.”
A few years ago everyone heard the news reports about the Silk Road and the Dark Web. This is a part of the Internet where users can hide their IP addresses to avoid detection so that they can engage in illegal activities.
Oscar Winners Joel and Ethan Cohen are best known for their dark movies like “No Country for Old Men” and their remake of “True Grit.” The duo both writes and directs their movies and both have Oscars for best picture and directing “No Country for Old Men.” They also won Oscars for the movie’s screenplay.
American authorities dubbed Ross William Ulbricht Dread Pirate Roberts. He is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole in a Federal prison on drug trafficking and money laundering convictions.
Now we will see if the Coen Brothers will earn more Oscar nominations to add to their resume.
