Business Insider reports that an employee at Apple’s Israeli offices revealed that the company has been secretly working on software for the iPhone 8.Apple, the insider said, is developing a variety of new products at its Herzliya offices.
iPhone 8 is only due to hit the market in another two years. The anonymous worker at Apple added that the iPhone 8 will be significantly different from both from Apple’s iPhone 6s, which was released in September 2015, and the iPhone 7, which was released last month. Business Insider noted that previous new iPhone models have been criticized for their similarities to their predecessors.

The Herzliya office has approximately 800 employees, and Apple CEO Tim Cook has said it is the company’s second-largest research and development office in the world. There is another Apple headquarters in Haifa, which has about 200 employees, according to Business Insider.
