In Telephone conversation Putin, Netanyahu discuss the Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement

The conversation was held at Israel’s request;

In a telephone conversation today,  at Israel’s request, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in the course of which they discussed the situation in the Middle East, including the Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement and the prospects for a resumption of direct dialogue between the two sides, the Kremlin press service said.

They also agreed to maintain bilateral contacts at different levels.

“The sides continued an exchange of opinion on the current situation in the Middle East and took up the situation around the Palestinian-Israeli peace settlement, including the prospects for a resumption of direct dialogue between the two parties, ” the report said. “They (Putin and Netanyahu) agreed to continue contacts at various levels.”
The conversation was held at Israel’s request.
