Water efficiency is a number one priority in Taiwan because of the challenging environment and climate. Despite Taiwan’s high annual rainfall, only about 20% of the rain can be used as a water resource due to its mountainous terrain, population strips and other factors.

Tin-Lai Lee, Director of Water Loss Management Department, TWC, said, “For the last few years, we’ve been committed to find the most innovative technology for efficient management of losses, energy and demand in water distribution systems. TaKaDu’s event management solution enables us to manage every type of event happening in our network so that we can respond quickly to problem areas and bring them under control efficiently and optimise our operational resources”.

Based on big data analytics, TaKaDu’s IoT cloud-based solution enables water utilities to manage the full life-cycle of all their network events (‘incidents’), such as faulty assets, leaks, bursts, water pressure issues, water quality, operational faults and more.

“We’re honoured that one of the most innovative and technology-oriented countries in the world has chosen TaKaDu’s solution. The deal with TWC is an important milestone for us, representing our first customer in the Asia, and we are confident that it will make a real difference to TWC’s operational efficiency and lead to a long-term win-win relationship, ” said Amir Peleg, Founder & CEO, TaKaDu.

TaKaDu’s patented solution is used by water utilities worldwide, including Australia, South America and Europe.
