CNN boss Jeff Zucker said to be eyeing New York mayoral bid

Is CNN Worldwide boss Jeff Zucker exit his current job for a bid for New York mayor?

In an interview with Buzzfeed at The Paley Center for Media, Zucker was asked whether it might still be true that he would consider running for elected office. According to New York post, Zucker nodded and said, “I would still think about that, yeah.” Although, he said, he did not have any job in mind.

When he was asked spacificly running for mayor of New York, Zucker thought about it for a second and answered: “You know, I would consider anything.”, According to Post.

But CBS News claim the CNN boss hopped on the phone to deny the news “It is 10 times 100 percent not true, ” Zucker told On the Money.

This is not the first time Zucker speaking about political aspirations. In 2014 interview with New York Magazine, Zucker had said he would consider running for political office.

Mayor De Blasio was elected in 2013. The next election at 2017 he intends to run again.
