The US Department of Homeland Security recently published a report shedding light on the nationalities overstaying their welcome to the United States. In FY 2015, 527, 127 individuals overstayed their terms of admission. Canada and Mexico accounted for the highest portion of that number – 93, 000 and 42, 000 individuals respectively. Even though some of the people that overstayed did leave by the end of the fiscal year on September 30th, at least 483, 000 were still in the country after that date.
This chart shows foreign visitors to the US who exceeded their authorized stay (end of fiscal year 2015).
