New York Giants Co-Owner Steve Tisch Drops Nearly $2 Million on Christmas Gifts for Players

FIDF Steve Tisch,

New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch is an extremely wealthy man and he certainly never shies away from spreading said wealth. He’s heavily involved in a number of charitable initiatives — both in the football world and film world — and also has several foundations, including the Stand Up To Cancer Foundation and the Steve Tisch Family Foundation.

isch is also very loyal to his players in much the same way the late Wellington Mara was. And with the holiday rapidly approaching, Tisch has spared no expense in acquiring gifts for every single player on the Giants.

On average, Tisch says he’s spent about $25, 000 – $30, 000 on each player. That’s roughly $2 million for the 53-man roster and practice squad, with some wiggle room for other players that have come and gone this season.

“I started Christmas shopping in June. I got presents for every New York Giant, ” Tisch told TMZ. “About $25, 000 – $30, 000 per player.”

Asked if he also buys gifts for the cheerleaders, Tisch quickly pointed out the team doesn’t have any.

“We don’t have cheerleaders. And that’s why, ” Tisch joked.
