Pollard was released on parole Friday, from the federal prison in Butner, North Carolina, after 30 years in prison, for passing classified information to Israel.
Pollard, 61, will be subject to various restrictions. These include bans on leaving the United States for five years, giving interviews to the media or surfing the Internet. He still has to check in regularly with a parole officer for a year and can be returned to prison for poor behavior.
