Jerry Heller Suing Dr. Dre And Ice Cube For $110 million

Heller says he never gave permission for his name or likeness to appear in the movie – and as a pivotal part of the N.W.A story, Giamatti’s Heller appears a lot.

Jerry Heller and Eazy-E

The former manager of NWA, Jerry Heller, is set to sue all of those involved in the making of the recent Straight Outta Compton biopic. TMZ reports that Heller just filed a $110 million lawsuit against Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, NBC Universal, the estate of Eazy-E and others for defamation and using his likeness in the box office hit without his permission.

TMZ reports that NBC Universal and the Estate of Eazy-E were also included in the lawsuit. In the recent N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, Paul Giamatti (the only known actor in the movie’s cast) played Heller less as a shark than as a caring, misguided outsider who really was trying to help these young guys but who, at the end of the day, was out to get his.
