Picked up by Hulu, the nine-hour limited time frame is about high school history teacher Jake Epping (James Franco), who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F Kennedy, reported Variety.
His mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed.
Hulu had previously styled the name of the series as “11/22/63, ” the same as King’s book, but now refers to it as “11.22.63.”
Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay TR Knight, Cherry Jones, and Daniel Webber also star in the series.
