Israeli startup EverythingMe, a developer of launcher for Android devices, announced it was closing down and laying off all employees.
Founded in 2010 by Ami Ben David, Joey Simhon and Rami Kasterstein, their target was to develop a search for applications of which are displayed as icons of such as Wikipedia, IMDB, YouTube, instead of list of links.

EverythingMe brand was voted at TechCrunch conference to be the most liked app.
The company home screen, was ranked in the top ten for its type in over 40 countries with 15 million installs.
EverythingMe raised $37.5 to date. Investors including chinese Li Ka-shing’s Horizon Ventures, Spanish giant Telefonica, Singapore telecommunications Singtel Innov8, Firefox browser maker Mozilla, BRM Capital, DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures Ltd.
“This was a painful decision, ” told company’s CTO Joey Simhon to GeekTime, “we built an amazing team, and a product that we put all of ourselves into that was well received by users. I have no doubt that we will hear a lot about those who are leaving the company, since they bring with them the special way that we developed to build technology products for other companies that will be lucky to have them.”
Globes claim that the unofficial reason why the company is closing down is its inability to consolidate a business model for the development of an Android launcher in a rather competitive market.
