Jon Stewart has found his first gig after retiring from The Daily Show earlier this month and it actually shouldn’t come as a surprise to his most loyal fans.
Stewart will host this weekend’s WWE SummerSlam on Sunday, Aug. 23 , at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, a four-hour broadcast with a one-hour pre-show, which starts at 6 p.m. ET on the WWE Network. The event will also feature actor Stephen Amell’s rematch with Stardust. This will be the first time in six years it takes place outside of Los Angeles.

This show is the company’s second biggest event of the year. The largest event is WrestleMania is in March.
Stewart is a longtime pro wrestling fan and even got into a dispute with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Earlier in March Stewart appeared on ‘Monday Night Raw’, WWE’s flagship TV show, consistently ranks in the top 5 shows on cable, According to Nielsen.
The WWE has also the successful number ONE sports channel on YouTube, which is more popular than the NBA, NHL, MLB or NFL.
WWE Network launched In February 2014 a subscription-based streaming service, and now, 18 months later, has more than 1.3 million subscribers. All four WWE shows has an average of 14 million viewers each week.
Stewart ended his historic 16-year Daily Show on August 6, with a special hour-long episode. He will be replaced by Trevor Noah, who will start in late September.
