Sources inform ”Globes” that Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) chairman Saul (Sam) Bronfeld has resigned. The resignation comes a day after Israel Securities Authority chairman Shmuel Hauser sent a sharply worded letter to the TASE board of directors which said that Bronfeld had failed in his job.
The personal schism in the TASE leadership began with Bronfeld’s charges against former TASE CEO Ester Levanon, who resigned last Thursday, whom he said was “mediocre”.
Hauser, who was not sparing of Levanon either, was not satisfied with Levanon’s resignation, and sought the ouster of Bronfeld as well. He succeeded.
In his letter, Hauser said that, in his opinion, Bronfeld shared in Levanon’s performance failure.
