Microsoft launches DVD player app for new Windows 10 OS

Today Microsoft released a DVD player app for its new Windows 10 OS. Windows 7 Home Premium, 7 Pro, 7 Ultimate and Windows 8/8.1 with Media Center Pack or professional Pack users can get this new DVD player app once upgrading to new Windows 10 OS.

Basically, if you’ve got Media Center installed before upgrading your computer, you can get this app. It currently only plays DVD movies on optical discs.

After upgrading to Windows 10, the free new DVD Player app is automatically downloaded via Windows Update; however, you will be able to speed up this method by progressing to Settings from the start menu, choosing Update & security, and so click Check for updates. You must see a new update accessible that begins to transfer, which can install the free Windows DVD Player app.

The Windows DVD Player app are available for purchase within the Store. There also are several alternative popular DVD player apps already accessible on the web which will still work on Windows 10.
