Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27 while walking near the Kremlin in Moscow
UNIAN: Russian businessman and opposition activist Mikhail Khodorkovsky has said that he is 80% sure that he knows the name of the murderer of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, according to Russian independent TV channel Dozhd.

“I’m sure I know who has committed this crime. Another thing is that I am 80% sure. Nevertheless, it is enough for me, “ he said.
According to Khodorkovsky, Nemtsov could have been killed as a result of provocation launched “by someone from the security forces against [Kremlin-backed Chechen leader] Kadyrov‘s men.”
“As of now, this version has the right to exist. But this does not change anything. To my mind, the decisions were taken by certain people from Kadyrov’s environment. But this is my point of view, “ he said.
However, Khodorkovsky did not mention the names. He said that he had previously consulted with people who “had a greater right to decide what could be announced, ” and it was decided not to reveal the exact names at the moment.

Boris Yefimovich Nemtsov was born to a Jewish mother. Like his mother, he was physicist, and liberal politician. Nemtsov was one of the most important figures in the introduction of capitalism into the Russian post-Soviet economy. Since 2000 he had been an outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin. Nemtsov was assassinated on 27 February 2015 on a bridge near the Kremlin in Moscow. He was shot four times in the back.
