As first reported by Brian Krebs, the clandestine affair-making site AshleyMadison was hacked Sunday by a group claiming to have access to user profiles, usernames, passwords, emails and more.

It’s bad when any website is hacked — but when said website is dedicated to helping people in relationships have affairs, it’s catastrophic. For many of the site’s 37 million users, this breach could have devastating consequences on their personal lives.
