Mitiga, an Israeli startup and a cutting-edge leader in threat detection, investigation, and response for Cloud and SaaS environments, has unveiled a game-changing milestone: a $30 million investment secured to fuel its meteoric rise. This significant funding propels the company’s explosive growth, enabling bold geographic expansion, innovative channel development, and the delivery of advanced product capabilities to an ever-growing global customer base.

Founded in 2019 by CEO Tal Mozes, Ofer Maor, and Ariel Parnes, Mitiga boasts that its cloud-oriented technology platform and its dynamic-readiness approach enable customers not only to rapidly complete the investigation, response, and recovery stages when a cloud security incident occurs but also to increase their resiliency for a future attack.

Mitiga began as an Incident Response company designed for cloud environments, but the founders quickly realized there was a larger problem to solve in cloud security: SOC teams did not have the right tools to detect, investigate, and respond to a new era of threats. Traditional cloud security solutions like CNAPPs empowered DevOps to operate in the cloud, but SecOps was left behind.

To solve this growing problem, they built a comprehensive platform that enables SecOps teams to achieve panoramic visibility across SaaS, identity, and cloud threats. Now, SecOps can detect threats with rich context and investigate based on automated timelines of events across their entire cloud footprint.

Mitiga, having achieved consistent customer and revenue growth and secured major clients like Blackstone, ZoomInfo, and New American Funding, is poised for further expansion. This new funding round, led by SYN Ventures with continued support from existing investors such as ClearSky, Atlantic Bridge, Flint Capital, DNX Ventures, and Glilot Capital Partners, will fuel growth in the U.S. and Europe. Specifically, Mitiga will invest in expanding its sales and marketing teams, enhancing its AI-powered platform, broadening its cloud and SaaS integrations, and establishing new strategic partnerships.

“Mitiga’s Cloud/SaaS TDIR Platform represents the future of cybersecurity and I’m proud to be named Executive Chairman,” said John Watters, Executive Chairman of Mitiga. Cloud, SaaS, and Identity domains have been a fruitful playground for attackers as data, infrastructure, and risk have shifted to these new domains. In doing so, enterprises often lack visibility and control in this distributed environment. Mitiga delivers this visibility and enables customers to detect, investigate, and automate incident response against threats across those environments.”

“Cloud and SaaS breaches are rising as adversaries seek to exploit weaknesses in online systems,” added Tal Mozes, Co-Founder, Mitiga. “Businesses have prioritized compliance and prevention – rather than detection and mitigation – which is creating a white space for adversaries to target. Mitiga’s unique and broad capabilities enable our customers to detect, investigate and respond to threats over 90 percent faster than traditional approaches.”
