Renowned Silicon Valley investor Marc Andreessen, often hailed as the godfather of the internet browser, has been actively vetting candidates for roles in the incoming Trump administration, according to The Washington Post. His recruitment efforts extend beyond technology and economic positions to include key roles within the Defense Department and intelligence agencies.

Andreessen, who previously described himself as an “unpaid volunteer” for Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s “Department of Government Efficiency,” has focused on initiatives to streamline government spending. His involvement marks another instance of a prominent tech leader aligning with the Trump administration. Other Silicon Valley titans, such as Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, have also played notable roles, with both making significant contributions to Trump’s inaugural fund.

Marc Andreessen is a prominent entrepreneur, investor, and software engineer, widely recognized as a pioneer in the technology industry. He co-created Mosaic, one of the first web browsers, and co-founded Netscape Communications, which played a significant role in popularizing the internet during the 1990s.
