Rivery, an Israeli startup that offers a Software as a Service SaaS ELT platform, has been acquired by American firm Boomi, which offers intelligent data integration and automation services. Rivery’s skilled data management team will join Boomi, strengthening the company’s ability to deliver world-class solutions to customers and accelerate its trajectory as a leader in the integration and automation space. The acquisition, expected to close by the end of 2024 pending customary closing conditions.
While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, Calcalist estimates the value of Rivery at $100 million.
ELT refers to Extract, Load and Transform. This is a data integration process in which raw data from a source server is moved over to a data system like a data warehouse or data lake. The data is then prepared for the downstream users, meaning all of the people who will need to have access to it.

So, what is DataOps anyway?
Well, Datameer explains that DataOps is an emerging new process in the data analytics world that applies DevOps concepts to data management for analytics. To downstream analytics and data science teams, DataOps promises to deliver the speed, efficiency, quality, and production of data delivery for their analytics needs.
This is not to be confused with DevOps, which, according to Amazon, is the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increases an organization’s ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity: evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes.
Founded in 2017, Rivery provides a complete SaaS ELT for organizations that need to scale fast with data, with a solution to build, maintain and automate a modern data stack. Rivery’s boasts that it has the capacity to orchestrate and unlock data value is built on its ability to democratize the task across business and data teams, making data expertise a company-wide passion, and ultimately driving successful data strategies. Leading companies, including Bayer, BuzzFeed, and American Cancer Society and EMAAR trust Rivery with their data.
“This is a transformative moment for Rivery’s employees, customers, and partners,” said Itamar Ben Hemo, CEO of Rivery. “Our end-to-end platform has established a strong brand in the data management landscape, serving over 450 customers globally and addressing their evolving needs. The unified platform offered by Boomi merges critical elements essential for every company today: API management, integration and automation, and data management—all supported by strong AI foundations.”
