Superlegal is an Israeli startup that offers the first AI platform for legal contract review for small and medium-sized businesses (“SMBs”) and the only AI solution authorized to practice law in the US. The firm raised $5 million in a seed funding round, co-led by Aleph and Disruptive AI fund.
The high volume and intricate nature of contracts in the construction industry make legal review and negotiation a major hurdle. For example, the construction sector, which comprises over 3.6 million firms, often requires contracts with more than 100 suppliers and contractors. Construction firms deal with numerous suppliers and contractors, each requiring its own contract. Construction contracts often involve complex legalese, technical specifications, and risk allocation. Many firms lack in-house legal teams, making it difficult to efficiently review and negotiate contracts.
Superlegal, if designed effectively, could automate some aspects of contract review, freeing up time for legal teams to focus on complex issues. It could help standardize contract terms, reducing negotiation time and ensuring consistency across agreements. If user-friendly, Superlegal could empower non-legal professionals to handle basic contract tasks, improving overall efficiency.

The company was co-founded by CEO Noory Bechor and CTO Ilan Admon, who previously founded LawGeex, a pioneer in AI-powered contract review for large enterprises, which was acquired in 2023. Superlegal is an AI platform designed to assist small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with legal contract review. It is the only AI licensed to practice law in the USA and is powered by AI technology while being verified by lawyers. The platform is designed to help businesses efficiently and cost-effectively handle their contracts and accurately review and advance contracts without depending on a legal department or outside legal counsel.
“This investment from three industry-leading VCs with deep passion and expertise in AI serves as a robust validation of our vision and dedication to ensuring that small and medium-sized businesses can access, afford, and adopt the same AI technologies as enterprises,” said Noory Bechor, CEO of Superlegal said. With this funding, we can expedite our growth trajectory and sustain our commitment to innovation, while leveling the playing field between small and large businesses.”
