A distressing video showing the capture of a group of young IDF female soldiers when they were taken captive by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 massacre was released to the public Wednesday by The Hostages and Missing Families Forum. The video, which was filmed by the terrorists themselves, shows disturbing images of Israeli soldiers who were clearly beaten, bruised and bleeding.

In the video, the terrorists, who violated every convention in the world on the treatment of prisoners of war, can be heard saying things like “You dogs, we will step on you,” “Here are the girls who can get pregnant. These are the Zionists,” and “You are so beautiful.”

Among the young female soldiers seen – none are more than 20 years old – Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa and Naama Levy are still being held hostage after more than eight months.

The Hostages Families Forum released a statement with the video saying, “The video of the female observers’ abduction, is a wake-up call to the civilized world. We must condemn those actions and we cannot abandon the hostages held captive for 229 days.

The Forum explained that the video, captured by the body cameras of Hamas terrorists on October 7th, was edited and censored to “exclude the most disturbing scenes, such as the numerous murdered young men and women at the Nahal Oz base and inside the bomb shelter from which the female observers were taken.”

“The Israeli government and the international community can’t waste another moment – we must get back to the negotiation table today!,” it declared.

Ayelet Levy, mother of 19-year-old Naama Levy, one of the hostages featured in the shocking video, said “My heart is with my daughter Naama in those horrifying moments in the horrifying day of October 7th. That is just that one day. She has been there for 229 days since.”

“We only see in that video a fraction of the horrible things that are going on in their surrounding in the shelter,” she added. “She is terrified and wounded, there is fear in her eyes, and she is saying what she can, she is begging for her life. The top priority is to bring her home, bring them all home now.”

President of Israel Isaac Herzog released a statement on the video saying, “Five young women being dragged away by monstrous Hamas terrorists. This video shows the harrowing moments on October 7th that five young female soldiers from a lookout post protecting towns and Kibbutzim in southern Israel, were beaten, threatened with rape, and brutally taken hostage by Hamas terrorists from Gaza.”

“The video has been released by the brave families and we continue to offer them all our strength and love,” added Herzog. “Liri, Karina, Agam , Daniella, and Naama are all still in Hamas captivity and we are fighting to bring them home as well as all other hostages – 128 in total!”

“The world must look at this cruel atrocity. Those who care about women’s rights must speak out. All those who believe in freedom must speak out, and do everything possible to bring all of the hostages home now.”
