CNN has a pro-Israel bias, say a group of staffers at the world’s oldest cable news channel, according to a report in The Guardian. The news comes as a shock to just about anyone, anywhere, who has ever watched CNN’s coverage of Israel and the Middle East.
This is, after all, the network that regurgitates every single slander of Israel issued by the Hamas controlled Gaza officials in Gaza.
For example, in November CNN went all in on the false allegations that the Israeli military bombed the Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza, even citing the false figures of thousands being wounded. It was later shown that the explosion at the hospital was caused by munitions that Hamas stored there and that few, if any, people were injured.

CNN also continues to cite the claims that tens of thousands of “innocent” civilians have been killed in Gaza by Israel’s attacks on Hamas there. However, these numbers come from Hamas and to date there has not been any independent verification as to the casualty numbers.
In fact, every time Israel fought against Hamas in Gaza CNN had no problem reporting on the exaggerated and false civilian casualty figures provided by Hamas. And every time those numbers were eventually debunked.
There are enough examples of this to fill a book. However, this seems to be new to some CNN staffers.
“The majority of news since the war began, regardless of how accurate the initial reporting, has been skewed by a systemic and institutional bias within the network toward Israel,” one CNN staffer told The Guardian. “Ultimately, CNN’s coverage of the Israel-Gaza war amounts to journalistic malpractice.”
“Senior staffers who disagree with the status quo are butting heads with the executives giving orders, questioning how we can effectively tell the story with such restrictive directives in place,” they said.
Another staffer told The Guardian, “Many have been pushing for more content from Gaza to be alerted and aired. By the time these reports go through Jerusalem and make it to TV or the homepage, critical changes – from the introduction of imprecise language to an ignorance of crucial stories – ensure that nearly every report, no matter how damning, relieves Israel of wrongdoing.”
This all seems to be something out of a Twilight Zone episode where the whole world has been turned upside down.
CNN has never been friendly to Israel in its coverage.
