In recent weeks, IDF forces carried out what it described as precise raids during which dozens of terrorists were eliminated and about 100 terrorist targets were destroyed in Gaza. These included a headquarters of the terrorist organization Hamas and buildings where terrorists were hiding.
Also, IDF forces destroyed dozens of tunnel shafts and tunnel tunnels used by Hamas.
During the fighting, the fighters, together with the fighters of the Yalam unit, raided a lathe for the production of weapons and a concrete factory that was used to build tunnels. At the end of the raid, the engineering forces destroyed the compound. The fighters located a stockpile of weapons and destroyed it.

The IDF also reported that in recent its forces, led by the combat team of the 551st Brigade in the 162nd Division, gained an operational grip on the area of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza which the IDF described as one of the “centers of gravity” of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The fighting in the refugee camp included intense battles in which many terrorists were eliminated and hundreds of weapons were found, said the IDF.
Israeli forces uncovered a network of strategic tunnels that served as the northern headquarters of Hamas in Gaza. The underground headquarters includes two levels – the first is about 10 meters deep and the second is tens of meters deep The network of tunnels included many branches and was used to manage combat and the passage of terrorists.
The network was connected to a shaft that reached the house of the commander of the northern division of Hamas, Ahmed Ahandor. An underground network went under the grounds of a school and a hospital using them as a shield.
Israeli forces destroyed the underground headquarters.
In addition, as part of operations in the south of Gaza City, soldiers of the Yiftah Battalion (11th) and combat engineering forces struck Hamas headquarters in the Issa area. The soldiers identified a terrorist cell attempting to attack the forces and eliminated them in close-quarters combat. In the operations in the Issa area, many Hamas terrorists were eliminated, along with many buildings used for terrorist activities and weapons that were destroyed.
Soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade who were operating in the area located and discovered a number of shafts leading to a significant underground tunnel route.
