The world’s biggest pop star Taylor Swift made headlines recently for her very public relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce. But now she is getting some negative press for taking part in a fundraiser for Gaza.
Well, that is not exactly what they did.
Taylor Swift went out this week to celebrate her 34th birthday with some fellow media sensations such as Blake Lively. But she also went to a comedy show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music where the money made went to humanitarian relief in Gaza.

The show was part of comedian Ramy Youssef’s “More Feelings” tour. Youssef is an Arab-American. Youssef recently said he would be donating the proceeds from the remaining shows on his tour to ANERA – American Near East Refugee Aid.
Taylor Swift was not the only celebrity to attend the show over the weekend. Selena Gomez, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoë Kravitz and Cara Delevingne were all their too.
Anera states that it has no political or religious affiliation and that it works on the ground with partners in “Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), Lebanon and Jordan. We mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development. Our staff serve in their communities, navigating the politics that constrict progress to get help where it’s needed most.”
Israel is allowing tons of humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip every day, including fuel and medical supplies as it continues with its Iron Swords War against the terrorist group Hamas which is based there.
However, numerous reports and films show that Hamas terrorists simply take whatever they want from the aid deliveries, acting like bandits pointing guns at the civilians who need the aid. Hamas uses the fuel delivered to power rockets it launches indiscriminately at Israeli towns.
The UN agency that delivers the supplies, meanwhile, does nothing to ensure they get to the people and not Hamas.
But the likelihood is that Taylor Swift and the other celebrities who went to the Ramy Youssef show know anything about this, or if they even knew Youssef was donating money to Gaza. And even if they did, why should they be criticized for wanting to help the people in Gaza.
