The Rockefeller Brothers Fund, a charity established by the famed Rockefeller family, has provided funding for numerous groups operating as non-profits, but are in actuality either openly engaged in anti-Israeli activities or as fronts for terror. This has been proven by the group NGO Monitor which investigates such matters.
In response to the Hamas attack, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund issued a call for more funding for aid to Gaza.
“The unconscionable Hamas attack against Israeli civilians on October 7 and the subsequent strikes on Gaza mark the beginning of a devastating new chapter,” it said. “In such grim circumstances, it’s easy to lose hope. Much of the world, including government leaders and regular citizens, are asking how they can respond to these horrors. The answer, we believe, lies with the civil-society organizations dedicated to building peace in Israel, Palestine, and elsewhere in the Middle East.”

The organization NGO Monitor pointed out that the Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s Peacebuilding program, which approves grants related to the Arab-Israel conflict, aims to “advance just and durable peace by supporting innovative and collaborative approaches and policies for conflict prevention, management, and transformation; strengthening constituencies and political will for conflict transformation and durable peace; and exploring solutions to emerging transnational threats and drivers of conflict.”
It also charged that the Rockefeller Brothers Fund funds “highly politicized and biased” NGOs active in the Arab-Israeli conflict, including Defense for Children International – Palestine, Palestinian Medical Relief Society, Al-Shabaka, Medical Aid for Palestinians, Breaking the Silence, Akevot, Gisha, Yesh Din, and Who Profits.
NGO Monitor found that Defense for Children International, for example, includes “numerous individuals” with alleged ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization designated as such by the US, EU, Canada, and Israel, have been employed and appointed as board members at DCI-P.
On October 22, 2021, the Israeli Ministry of Defense declared Defense for Children International – Palestine (DCI-P) a “terror organization” because it is part of “a network of organizations” that operates “on behalf of the ‘Popular Front’.”
Other anti-Israel groups the fund supports include Grassroots Jerusalem, Grassroots International and Gisha.
