2,000 Supposed British Celebrities Condemn Israel

And 86 Nobel laureates call on UN to free the Israeli hostages.

A group of 2,000 British entertainers has formed a group to condemn Israel over its “Iron Swords War” against Hamas in Gaza while ignoring the fact that more than 200 innocent people including children are being held hostage there. At the same time, 86 Nobel Prize laureates have taken a stand against Hamas and have written a letter to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres calling on world leaders to do something to effect the immediate release of the kidnapped children in Gaza.

The Nobel laureates wrote, “Throughout the annals of human history, wars have unfolded, but humanity has consistently drawn the line between acts of war and war crimes. No war should ever condone mass atrocities. No war normalizes acts of rape and torture. Never will war permit the captivity of innocent young children in the throes of hellish confinement.”

“The soul of a child differs from that of an adult. It is our sacred duty to protect the innocent and shield the vulnerable. It is our sacred duty to save our children,” they said. “The distressing images and words we witness today evoke memories of darker times, times that we, humanity as a collective, had hoped to leave behind.”

The Nobel laureates include non-Jews such as Shirin Ebadi, Nobel Laureate in Peace 2003, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Nobel Laureate in Peace 2011, Patrick Modiano, Nobel Laureate in Literature 2014, Jose Ramos-Horta, Nobel Laureate in Peace 1996 and Olga Tokarczuk, Nobel Laureate in Literature 2018.

As for the 2,000 so-called British celebrities condemning Israel, they call themselves “Artists for Palestine UK” and stated, “We demand that our governments end their military and political support for Israel’s actions.”

The vast majority of the signatories are people that no one has ever heard of before. But they do include famed British and even Oscar winners such as Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Steve Coogan and even Jews like Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter movies).

In condemning Israel’s war on Hamas in Gaza, the entertainers also condemned their own nations saying, “Our governments are not only tolerating war crimes but aiding and abetting them.”

Of course, these people did not even bother to write in their letter anything like a condemnation of what Hamas did followed by a “but.”

They did, however, make a veiled reference to the mass murder of innocent Israelis that included burning babies alive by writing, “But for now, while condemning every act of violence against civilians and every infringement of international law whoever perpetrates them, our obligation is to do all we can to bring an end to the unprecedented cruelty being inflicted on Gaza.”

But, they did write historical inaccuracies like, “Palestinians whose grandparents were forced out of their homes at the barrel of a gun [in 1948] are again being told to flee – or face collective punishment on an unimaginable scale.”
