Concerns are growing that Iran is trying to drag Israel into a two front war by having its proxy, the terrorist group Hezbollah, launch attacks at Israel from its bases in Lebanon. The situation in the north of Israel is so precarious that the country ordered the evacuation of all civilians who live within 2 KM (1.25 miles) of its border with Lebanon.
On Monday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Hezbollah telling the Knesset, “I have a message for Iran and Hezbollah: Don’t test us in the north. Don’t repeat the same mistake, because today, the price you’ll pay will be much heavier.”
However, the Iranian regime continues to make threats against Israel. Iran claims that it will make Israel “pay” if it does not lift the blockade of Gaza or if it attacks Hezbollah in Lebanon.

And now Axios is reporting that the White House has held strategy sessions to decide on a course of action should Hezbollah’s recent small strikes turn into a full assault on Israel. This would include the use of American military force against Hezbollah. The U.S. Military has already sent two different aircraft carrier groups, which include many ships, to the eastern Mediterranean in a show of support for Israel.
And Hezbollah has been behaving like it wants Israel to attack, possibly to divert IDF forces away from Gaza and to cause the start of a wider conflict.
On Saturday, Hezbollah terrorists set off an explosion on a section of Israel’s border fence with Lebanon located at a kibbutz on the border, causing minor damage to the wall there.
Also on Saturday, the IDF reported that about 30 mortars were launched towards Israeli territory from Lebanon at Mount Dov, which is located on the northernmost part of the Golan Heights on the border with Lebanon and a terrorist cell attempted to infiltrate into Israel from Lebanon.
The IDF responded by firing on terrorist bases in Lebanon.
On Monday Hezbollah terrorists fired on the Israeli community of Shtula on the border with Lebanon. An Israeli killed by a Hezbollah anti-tank rocket fired from Lebanon on Sunday morning was an Arab-Israeli construction worker named Mofid Sanono.
On Tuesday, the IDF eliminated a Hezbollah terrorist squad as it attempted to infiltrate Israel from Lebanese territory.
Overall, numerous rockets have been fired by Hezbollah terrorists based in Lebanon at Israel since the start of the “Iron Swords” War and the IDF responded by striking terror bases in that country.
