Israel’s Foreign Ministry issued an official warning to Israelis and Jews around the world to be cautious after the Hamas terrorist group made a call for its supporters to hold a global “Day of Rage” on Friday, October 13.
This is in response to Israel’s “Operation Iron Swords” in Gaza intended to destroy the Hamas terrorist organization after its barbaric attack on Israeli civilians last Saturday that so far has led to more than 1,300 deaths.

Israel’s government warns that, in effect, this is a call to go out and harm Israelis and Jews and that it is likely that there will be protests around the world, which may turn into violent events.
In light of this, Israel’s National Security Council and Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommend that all Israelis staying abroad be vigilant, stay away from demonstrations and protests and, if necessary, update local police about possible demonstrations/events of disorder in their surroundings.
Israel said that its officials will continue to act everywhere to maintain the security of Israeli citizens around the world.
And both local and national government leaders are taking action to ensure the safety of local Jewish communities.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said, “I want every New Yorker, especially Jewish New Yorkers and other groups to know there are currently no credible or specific threats against our city, but with large-scale protests planned for tomorrow, we must remain vigilant.”
The New York Police Department has made preparations, ordering all of its officers to be on duty Friday.
“All uniformed members of the service in every rank, will perform duty in the uniform of the day and be prepared for deployment,” read a Wednesday night memo sent to all NYPD members as cited by the New York Post.
Deputy Commissioner of the NYPD Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureau Rebecca Weiner told local Jewish leaders at a meeting that the NYPD is working to deter anyone who would seek to do us harm in this city.”
World leaders are also pledging to provide protection to Jewish communities.
The British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, “Nothing will stand in the way of us keeping the Jewish community safe. You have our complete backing.”
